Welcome to the Maharishi Ayurveda Health Centter, the first Ayurvedic clinic in the Netherlands established in 1987.

Rooted in the rich ancient Ayurvedic tradition and enhanced by Maharishi Ayurveda quality management. 

We have established connections with the mainstream healthcare system, as Dutch general practitioners, who are also Ayurvedic physicians, collaborate increasingly in network medicine.

This includes referrals by conventional doctors, placing greater emphasis on disease prevention due to healthcare pressures.

ANCIENT WISDOM

Maharishi Ayurveda stems from the ancient Indian Vedic Tradition, a wisdom dating back more than five thousand years, when the knowledge of Ayurveda was first documented.

The oral tradition goes even further back. In the 1980s, Maharishi completely restored that ancient wisdom, as over the centuries, various impurities had crept in. Dutch physicians ensure that the treatments meet contemporary Western standards. It’s the best of both traditions.

At the heart of our Ayurvedic course of treatment is the classic Ayurvedic cleansing cure known as Panchakarma, a system of well-coordinated physical treatments that together ensure a gentle yet profound cleansing of the physiology from metabolic residue, thus removing the basis of many disorders.

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD

The center in Lelystad has three treatment rooms and a consultation room for physicians. It is small-scale but professionally designed, with a focus on personal attention.

You can see it in small details, crucial for creating an environment where you can relax optimally. However, there is no unnecessary luxury, allowing the rates to remain customer-friendly.

Just around the corner is the Vegetarian Restaurant, where the chef serves vegetarian meals. You can also inquire about the specially adapted Panchakarma menu.
