Our Team
The team consists of Ayurvedic doctors and technicians, who are trained specifically to give Maharishi Ayurveda treatments.
The physicians affiliated with the health center have undergone specialized training as Maharishi AyurVeda doctors. They are also certified regular Dutch physicians. During a panchakarma course, the doctor ensures daily contact to ensure smooth progress of the treatment.
Since September 2004 Gerrit Jan Gerritsma, also a regular Dutch physician, has been collaborating with the Maharishi Ayurveda Gezondheidscentrum (MAG). With ten years of experience as a Maharishi Ayurveda physician in various health clinics in Germany and Austria, he completed the ABNG-2000 training in 2004 (Association of Physicians for Biological and Natural Medicine). Doctor Gerritsma conducts consultations at MAHC, where he is not limited to Maharishi Ayurveda. He operates as an independent physician collaborating with the clinic. Professional affiliations include AVIG (Association of Physicians for Integral Medicine) and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Ayurveda.

History of the Center
The Maharishi Ayurveda Health Center is an independent foundation in Lelystad
The goal of Maharishi Ayurveda Gezondheidscentrum is to contribute to the health of its clients through treatments and preparations according to Maharishi Ayurveda.
Established on December 1, 1987, MAG is the first Ayurvedic clinic in the Netherlands, marking over 35 years of extensive experience. Rooted in the rich ancient Ayurvedic tradition and enriched by Maharishi Ayurveda quality management (certification), the center maintains its authenticity, recognizing each individual’s uniqueness where body and mind are interconnected.

Where to stay
It is recommended to not travel during panchakarma, and to stay somewhere close to the health centre. Among others, you could stay at the apartments of the Luikink family, various B&Bs, for instance Jeroen’s Art BnB, or De Valkenhorst and hotels, a such as Van der Valk Lelystad.
Meals
During panchakarma it is important to follow a light diet, specifically designed to support the treatments. Special panchakarma meals are offered at the vegetarian restaurant, “Het Vegetarisch Restaurant”.
